Οι καταγγελίες σχετικά με τη διαφθορά στον τομέα του μπάσκετ συνεχίζουν να πληθαίνουν, αποκαλύπτοντας μια κατάσταση που φαίνεται να έχει διεισδύσει και στο σχολικό πρωτάθλημα. Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες που έφτασαν στην Ομοσπονδία Ιδιωτικών Εκπαιδευτικών Λειτουργών Ελλάδος (ΟΙΕΛΕ) και έχουν δημοσιευθεί από το iEidiseis, δύο μέλη της ΕΟΚ κατά την περίοδο θητείας του Βαγγέλη Λιόλιου φέρονται να ζήτησαν χρήματα από γονέα για να εξασφαλίσουν θέση στην Εθνική Εφήβων για το παιδί του.
Σχολικό μπάσκετ: «Δύο μέλη της ΕΟΚ ζήτησαν χρηματισμό»
Σύμφωνα με αξιόπιστες πηγές του iEidiseis, έχει καταγραφεί μια σοβαρή καταγγελία γονέα προς την ΟΙΕΛΕ, η οποία αφορά σε αίτημα χρηματισμού από δύο μέλη της ΕΟΚ. Στην αναφορά αυτή ο γονέας δήλωσε ότι «δύο μέλη της ΕΟΚ επικοινώνησαν μαζί μου και ζήτησαν χρήματα ώστε το παιδί μου να ενταχθεί στην Εθνική ομάδα εφήβων μπάσκετ».
Αξιοσημείωτο είναι ότι όταν ο γονέας ρώτησε τους εκπροσώπους γιατί θα έπρεπε να τους δώσει χρήματα,εκείνοι απάντησαν πως «με τη συμμετοχή σε αυτές τις εθνικές ομάδες,το παιδί μπορεί να αποκτήσει σημαντικές διεθνείς διακρίσεις και ίσως ακόμη και απαλλαγή από τις πανελλαδικές εξετάσεις».
«Γονείς υποψιάστηκαν στημένα παιχνίδια»
Πηγές ενημέρωσης ανέφεραν στο iEidiseis ότι έχουν φτάσει πολλές καταγγελίες από γονείς των οποίων τα παιδιά συμμετείχαν σε σχολικούς αγώνες μπάσκετ που θεωρούνται ύποπτοι. Οι γονείς εξέφρασαν την απογοήτευσή τους για τη διαιτησία στους συγκεκριμένους αγώνες.Όπως ανέφεραν οι ίδιοι, είχαν υποθέσει ότι τα παιχνίδια ήταν στημένα λόγω των βολών που εκτελούσε η αντίπαλη ομάδα.
Το «κύκλωμα»
Η ΟΙΕΛΕ εξέδωσε ανακοίνωση σχετικά με τέσσερα ιδιωτικά σχολεία σε Πάτρα, Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη, επισημαίνοντας πως «οι ομάδες τους συμμετέχουν στα σχολικά πρωταθλήματα ενώ συνεργάζονται με ένα φερόμενο “κύκλωμα” που φαίνεται πως δραστηριοποιείται στο ελληνικό μπάσκετ.. Αυτή η εύνοια οδηγεί σε νίκες στα σχολικά πρωταθλήματα καθώς επίσης προσφέρει bonus μοριοδότηση για τις Πανελλαδικές εξετάσεις. Σε ορισμένα εκπαιδευτήρια υπάρχουν αναφορές ότι οι μισοί αθλητές των “μικρών” εθνικών ομάδων παρακολουθούν μαθήματα χωρίς ουσιαστική φοίτηση ή υπόσχονται συμμετοχή σε διεθνείς διοργανώσεις που παρέχουν πλήρη απαλλαγή από τις Πανελλαδικές.»
The OIELE has sent a letter to the Minister of Education,Sofia Zacharaki, requesting her intervention in this matter.According to facts from iEidiseis, it is expected that parents will submit formal statements in the coming days.
“Όλοι οι γονείς διαμαρτυρηθήκαμε”
The parents of the basketball team from the greek College of Thessaloniki who participated in the controversial match against Anagennisi Patras—where the latter received 52 free throws—issued a statement noting that “The refereeing was beyond any standard of the sport and their behavior was extremely unfriendly… The parents present in Cyprus and those who spoke with their children over the phone found themselves in an awkward position trying to dismantle everything they had fought for over so many years.”
Moreso,according to this same statement: “Around all matches we protested vehemently both inside and outside the gym but no one seemed to care. Not even the representative from Greece’s ministry of Education who was present at that time and delivered an elaborate speech about sports benefits for children’s lives… In subsequent days our school officially complained to the Ministry but it felt like ‘a voice crying out in a desert.’”
“Μαθητές-αθλητές δεν εμφανίζονται στο σχολείο”
A noteworthy detail is that a complaint received by OIELE indicates that “This is common knowledge among private schools in Patras; student absences are not recorded.”
This particular complaint also mentions one specific private institution where “Athlete-students never attend school and their absences are never documented.” Classmates as well as fellow students’ parents have reported this during tutoring sessions or social gatherings.”
Additionally,a number of private schools invite top-performing public school students under promises of leniency regarding attendance issues for promotional purposes.”
“Μαθητές-“φαντάσματα””
No doubt this phenomenon isn’t limited solely to Patras; similar reports have reached OIELE recently from both parents and educators concerning these four controversial private institutions.
The allegations suggest these institutions sponsor talented athletes who attend classes sporadically—or not at all—to focus on training.”
This has lead some sources referring them as “ghost students,” while there are claims regarding doubled attendance records.”
Additionally,a coach reported he trained children from a private institution during hours they should have been attending class,” revealing there were reportedly a total of 52 students enrolled within his class.”
Evidently while basketball may be one prominent area where such issues arise,sources indicated similar situations exist within volleyball as well as lesser-known sports like tag rugby,” “cricket,” “field hockey,” “cheerleading,” even “parkour.” As described by sources some instances involve creating fictitious championships allowing kids eligibility points towards national exams.”
