Συναγερμός στη βόρεια Γαλλία: Εκτροχιασμός τρένου με 180 επιβάτες
Το βράδυ της Παρασκευής, ένα επιβατικό τρένο που είχε αναχωρήσει από τη Ρουέν με προορισμό την Καέν εκτροχιάστηκε, προκαλώντας τον τραυματισμό τουλάχιστον 20 ατόμων. Το περιστατικό συνέβη στην περιοχή ανάμεσα στις κοινότητες Κλεόν και Τουρβίλ-λα-Ριβιέρ, νότια της Ρουέν. Στο σημείο έσπευσαν ισχυρές δυνάμεις των υπηρεσιών έκτακτης ανάγκης για να παρέχουν βοήθεια στους τραυματίες και να απομακρύνουν τους επιβάτες με ασφάλεια.

Ο Ιλάριο Ιμπέρ, μαθητής ενός αγροτικού λυκείου που ταξίδευε από τη Ρουέν προς το Μπερνέ και βρισκόταν στο βαγόνι 34 κατά τη διάρκεια του ατυχήματος περιγράφει: «Ήμουν στο βαγόνι 34. Ξαφνικά αισθανθήκαμε πολύ δυνατές δονήσεις. Το τρένο απογειώθηκε.» Η κατάσταση έγινε ακόμη πιο τρομακτική όταν «έσπασαν τα τζάμια. Ένα άλλο βαγόνι εκτροχιάστηκε μπροστά μας και έκανε τούμπα ενώ εμείς παραμέναμε πάνω στις ράγες.»

SNCF: Διακοπή κυκλοφορίας λόγω του εκτροχιασμού
The derailment has led to an immediate halt of services on a important portion of the Normandy railway network. The SNCF announced that routes between Rouen and Caen have been suspended while connections from Caen to Le havre are also affected.According to the available schedules for Saturday following the incident on September 12th, travel from Rouen to Caen will now require a detour via Paris Saint-Lazare rather of the usual direct route. As of now, there has been no official statement regarding the cause of the derailment or confirmed reports of fatalities or critically injured individuals. Authorities and SNCF are expected to provide updates regarding both the condition of those injured and the reasons behind this unfortunate event.
