Δικαστική Διαμάχη για την Σιδηροδρομική Τραγωδία των Τεμπών

Η δικαστική αίθουσα έχει μετατραπεί σε πεδίο σφοδρών αντιπαραθέσεων κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδίκασης της υπόθεσης που αφορά την τραγωδία των Τεμπών, με αποτέλεσμα η έδρα να αποφασίσει να διακόψει προσωρινά τη διαδικασία.

Η τέταρτη συνεδρίαση χαρακτηρίστηκε από έντονες αντιπαραθέσεις μεταξύ των νομικών εκπροσώπων των θυμάτων και της υπεράσπισης. Η διαδικασία αναμένεται να συνεχιστεί αύριο, ενώ έχει προγραμματιστεί και νέα δικάσιμος σε έναν μήνα.

Η κατάσταση έγινε τεταμένη όταν η πρόεδρος του δικαστηρίου προσπάθησε να επιβάλει τάξη, δίνοντας σαφείς οδηγίες: «Εκτός από τον συνήγορο των πρώτων τεσσάρων κατηγορουμένων, οι υπόλοιποι θα πρέπει να παρουσιάσουν τις θέσεις τους αύριο». Ο εκνευρισμός της ήταν εμφανής λόγω του θορύβου που επικρατούσε στην αίθουσα: «Έλεος είμαι ήρεμος άνθρωπος αυτό πρώτη φορά το αντιμετωπίζω». Αυτή η δήλωση βρήκε υποστήριξη από το κοινό που φώναξε: «Και εμείς». Πριν από την οριστική διακοπή, ενημέρωσε ότι «η επόμενη δικάσιμος θα είναι σε 30 ημέρες».

Αμέσως μετά την ολοκλήρωση της διαδικασίας νομιμοποίησης όσων παρίστανται ως υποστηρικτές της κατηγορίας, οι συνήγοροι υπεράσπισης δήλωσαν ότι δεν είναι έτοιμοι να προβάλουν τις αντιρρήσεις τους και ζήτησαν αναβολή για επόμενη συνεδρίαση. Αυτό το αίτημα προκάλεσε έντονες αντιδράσεις από τα απέναντι έδρανα. Ο δικηγόρος Δ. Σκαρίμπας απευθύνθηκε στους συναδέλφους του λέγοντας: «Είναι προσχηματική η στάση σας και παρακωλύετε τη δίκη».

Θρασύβουλος Κονταξής (συνήγορος προς υποστήριξη της κατηγορίας): Αυτά τα λέτε για να σας ακούσουν οι εντολείς σας.

Νίκος Κωνσταντόπουλος: Υπήρξε προσπάθεια να γίνει πιστευτό ότι συγγενείς θυμάτων και συνήγοροί τους δεν επιθυμούν τη δίκη, ψευδολογούν.

Πρόεδρος: Τελειώνετε κύριε συνήγορε αν ψευδολογούν να τους πάτε στα δικαστήρια…

Kωνσταντόπουλος: Θα μας πάνε Σεπτέμβριο αυτές οι φαιές προσωπικότητες που υπάρχουν πίσω από τη λειτουργία της Δικαιοσύνης;

The tension escalated when Ζωής Κωνσταντοπούλου took the floor and verbally attacked the defense team saying: “don’t you have any shame? Shame on you.” The defense lawyers reacted immediately by calling for intervention from Θ. Μαντά of the Athens Bar Association: “finally Manta take a stand; how can Kονστανοπούλου tell us we should be ashamed? What is this! First thay blamed the courtroom now they blame us.” Mr. Manta called for “calmness,” while in response to Ms. Kωνσταντοπούλου’s persistent calls for him to take a stand he replied: “Yes we will.”

Psyroplous (supporting the prosecution): It must be understood that there should not be an opportunity to delay the progress of the trial.

Kontaxis (defense):

The court temporarily adjourned to decide on the timing of the next hearing while considering necessary improvements in space usage. Ultimately it was announced that proceedings would continue tomorrow. Exiting from court, lawyer and father of a victim Αντώνης Ψαρόπουλος criticized public stance stating: “Today support was declared by Greek Public which left us speechless as it only focused on four stationmasters attributing causes of tragedy solely to human error while completely ignoring other factors contributing to this deadly incident.”

Zoi Konstantopoulou’s Critique on Courtroom Procedures

Around outside Larissa Judicial Building Zoi Konstantopoulou launched fierce criticism claiming organized undermining of trial process stating “Some have managed for trial regarding Tembi tragedy conducted with most violations rule law seen throughout post-junta era.” She emphasized further attempts cover-up responsibilities saying “Those who achieved this are precisely those who do not want truth revealed nor culprits imprisoned.” Unfortunately such dreadful undermining process involves entities supposed defend transparency judicial proceedings.”

Additonally she condemned police control violence against citizens relatives asserting personal targeting herself stating “I approach this trial facing unprecedented targeting government corrupt judges willing accomplices slanderous attacks.” Sending message unwavering stance she stressed “Duty lawyer sacred; it’s unwise think threats slander displays power will deter our duties.”

Courtroom Conditions Under Scrutiny

Mrs Konstantopoulou sharply criticized choice courtroom revealing licensing issues surrounding it saying “Today’s session predictably unveiled backstage maneuvering clearly aimed at defending accused who had access all evidence not just previous hearings but already during investigation supporting claims relatives wishing participate in case.” She added further details about defendants’ objections preventing victims’ families attending sessions noting their readiness present counterarguments yet court seemed eager accommodate delays pushing back date thirty days as heard as room advertised best galaxy turned out operate restaurant license rather.”
